This is Part 1 of a new story. Our protagonist Doug makes a wish upon a star with life changing results. Friday Late Afternoon In the bedroom of a suburban home two best friends are playing a video game. Thomas Nelson, otherwise known as Tommy, is seated on the floor of his room, leaning against his bed, with controller in hand, “Dude, I am going to clear the gas station.” Douglas Martin, otherwise known as Doug, is seated on the floor nearby with his legs crossed, he too with controller in hand, “Yeah, I got you. Got two guys on the parking garage.” As they moved around the game map in tandem, they took out the other players until there were only a few teams left. Doug entered a building and found two other teams trying to take each other out. Instead of waiting for the outcome of this battle Doug jumped in and got taken out quickly.
